Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Great restaurant right on the main drag. I want expecting the food to be so good considering it's in a tourist town. But the burrito was excellent and the nachos, salsa and picked vegetables they serve before the meal were all delicious. I strongly recommend."
"Dropped in for a quick bite. The service was quick and the food was great. I had the Azteca breakfast. However, I asked for chicken instead of beef. It was great. Lots of food at a great price. My husband had the Tampiqueña plate. It came with 2 enchiladas, beef, rice, a tostada with black beans, and a fried plantain. His plate was also really good. The pickled veggies they give you are also really good. We would definitely eat here again."
"The atmosphere is great, with live music early in the day. It’s always busy and for good reason. The meal came with plenty of extras like coffee, orange juice, salad and jalapeños, making it very filling and affordable. The food and portions are generous. Definitely worth it."
"The seafood soup was very tasty, as was the burrito. We also really enjoyed the main course. Everything is made with olive oil, and I even saw them using olive oil. I highly recommend it. Very tasty. Simple Mexican cuisine."
"This is the first review I’ve written in six years—and it’s for the same restaurant that amazed me back then. The first time I came here with my dad, we were drawn in by the owner’s piano playing and singing. From there, it was one surprise after another: perfectly grilled shrimp that’s crispy on the outside and tender inside, and hands down the best pasta I’ve had anywhere in the world—along with so many other delicious dishes. The most incredible part? After six years, coming back felt like nothing had changed. The flavors are just as amazing (though I did notice the pasta no longer has the touch of lemon). I can’t recommend this place highly enough. While staying in Tulum, I came here every single day. It practically became my company cafeteria!"
"After visiting tulum we were looking for a place that served fish and we found this place. The service was excellent, friendly and fast. The meal was delicious and refreshing. The drinks hit the spot."
"The food was very delicious. Great salsas. They had a roasted and pickled garlic clove cut in half w slivered carrots and spices, ooh baby it was delish. I put it on everything. I had the Oaxacan cheese chile rellenos, they were light and fluffy. The cheese was warm and gooey, the tomato sauce was full of spice and flavor. Kudos to the chef."
"Loved the food as well as food portions! They have live music early in the day. Atmosphere is awesome. They're always busy and I can understand why. I gave away some of the other additional sides included with the meal I had ordered. Meal included what's shown in the picture, but also a cup of coffee, a cup of orange juice, some cabbage & carrot salad, some jalapeños. It was a lot of food and very affordable."
